Is It The Way She Walks

Written By: Tahlia McGahey

Verse
Ever since you left, I noticed a change in you
The way you dress, your sweet curess
Your eyes shine a different blue.
Your leavin in the morning and you come home late at night,
Whenever I'm expecting you home, your never right on time.

Chorus
Is it the way she walks
or how she combs her hair,
That sweet young voice, you'd follow anywhere.
Oh can't you see that you another man or does this just not occur,
Comes down to this, I just don't trust you with her.

Verse 2
Your never smelling oh so sweet
and you've never looked so fine,
You talk to yourself in the mirror,
and you take your finest wine.
You skip the two step down the hall
and give a wink to thee,
Honey I'm calling dinner off,
But don;t wait up for me.

Chorus
Is it the way she walks
or how she combs her hair,
That sweet young voice, you'd follow anywhere.
Oh can't you see that you another man or does this just not occur,
Comes down to this, I just don't trust you with her.

Verse 3
You bring her in with her pretty hair,
and introduce her to me,
She gave me a smile and I knew straight away, she's not your employee.
Later on you say to me, I have to drive her home,
I reply, look you striaght in the eye,
What can't she drive alone.

Chorus
Is it the way she walks
or how she combs her hair,
That sweet young voice, you'd follow anywhere.
Oh can't you see that you another man or does this just not occur,
Comes down to this, I just don't trust you with her.

Talking
Hey I know what your thinking
And you ain't fooling nobody honey.

Believe Me
Lyrics by Tahlia McGahey

Verse
Rise and shine I wake up with the sun on my face,
It's been a while since I've wanted to face a new day.
There you are and you're holding on tight to my hand,
The only one in this life who can understand.

Chorus
Believe me, you're the only one that I've ever laid eyes on,
Seeing, as clear as day and you've got me,
Being, the very best that I could ever be
Baby you're the best side of me.

Verse2
Turned my back on life, time and time again,
Like a river running wild in the pouring rain.
Then you took my hand and you showed me the way.

Chorus
Believe me, you're the only one that I've ever laid eyes on,
Seeing, as clear as day and you've got me,
Being, the very best that I could ever be
Baby you're the best side of me.

Daddy's Sleeping In Heaven Tonight

Written By: Tahlia McGahey

Daddy’s Sleeping in Heaven Tonight

Verse
Another day passes without you by my side
Another night I thought you called my name,
I can’t begin to count the tears I’ve cried
I don’t believe there’s any change.
Pre
But there’s two little reasons, why I should battle on,
They’ve been asking the same questions ever since you’ve been gone.

Chorus
Is Daddy coming home tonight, and can he tuck me right into my bed?
He promised me a lullaby, and I’m wondering where he’s been.
The hurt in that little voice, gets me every time,
Daddy’s sleeping in heaven tonight.

Verse 2
Lexie took her first steps and I’ve never been so proud
Joel’s got some paintings on the wall,
Your picture still stands they surround my every room
Your shoes still lay on the back porch.
Pre
Lord how it hurts that you’re not here to watch them grow,
And this hurt I have inside nobody knows.

Chorus
Is Daddy coming home tonight, and can he tuck me right into my bed?
He promised me a lullaby, and I’m wondering where he’s been.
The hurt in that little voice, gets me every time,
Daddy’s sleeping in heaven tonight.

Bridge
Life goes on, I’ll never be over you, in my heart I’ll always love you so,
When you’ve loved somebody the way that I’ve loved you, sometimes you can’t let go.

Chorus
Daddy won’t be home tonight, the angels they need him for a while,
I wish I could see him again, Mum I miss his smile.
He watches over you, over star lit skies, and his love will last for a lifetime,
And Daddy’s sleeping in heaven, tonight.

Not a Day Goes By

Not a Day Goes By- by Tahlia McGahey

Verse 1
There’s not a minute of every day when I’m not thinking of you
It’s hard for me to go along when I’m gazing in your eyes of blue

Pre
I know you think you don’t mean that much
When really you mean the world to me

Chorus
Not a day goes by when I’m not waiting
To be home in your loving arms
Not a place in the world that I’d rather be
Than be under the spell of your charms
Not a day goes by

Verse 2
It’s hard to keep that same old spark and concentrate
When I’ve got you spinning around my head,
It’s crazy I know that I can’t feel for anyone else
I’d rather have you instead

Pre
I know you may not love me anymore
But I still want you to now

Chorus
Not a day goes by when I’m not waiting
To be home in your loving arms
Not a place in the world that I’d rather be
Than be under the spell of your charms
Not a day goes by

Pre
I know you think you don’t mean that much
When really you mean the world to me

I'd Do It All Again

Written By: Tahlia McGahey

I'd Do It All Again

Verse
Just let it go, it's just a phase your going through
The words you spoke when I opened up my heart
You know that this ain't right, we can no longer fight it
One of us will end up being hurt

Chorus
I'd do it all again, there's nothing I'd change,
To have you by my side it's worth the pain
If I'd have known how love can be just a phase, seem so out of place and my heart would break
I'd do it all again.

Verse 2
Play it cool, forget it ever happened
I don't know how you can walk on by
Pretending I just don't mean a thing to you and how it's eating me away,
Looking back it's showing in your eyes.

Chorus
I'd do it all again, there's nothing I'd change,
To have you by my side it's worth the pain
If I'd have known how love can be just a phase, seem so out of place and my heart would break
I'd do it all again.

Verse 3
Leave it alone, I thought we'd talked things through
We must have walked over it a thousand times
If I'd have known, you have let me go
Could have saved myself some pain
But I'd still have been there for the ride.

Chorus
I'd do it all again, there's nothing I'd change,
To have you by my side it's worth the pain
If I'd have known how love can be just a phase, seem so out of place and my heart would break
I'd do it all again.

Why Don't We Meet Halfway

Why Don't We Meet Halfway- Tahlia McGahey
Verse
I'm starring out, but I can't see
Calling out, but no one hears me
Your smell it lingers in the trees
I hear your name and I can't breathe, I can't breathe
We've drifted apart

Chorus
Why don't we meet halfway,
I have so much to say, I hope it's not too late
Time it can't be replaced, but I'll sure as hell try
And capture this moment in time.

Verse 2
I leap forward, stumble back, running fast it is a trap,
Because you'll fall down flat
You leave footprints everywhere, I look around your always there,
In my heart your always there
Let's take life by the hand.

Chorus
Why don't we meet halfway,
I have so much to say, I hope it's not too late
Time it can't be replaced, but I'll sure as hell try
And capture this moment in time.

Lonely Nothing

Lonely Nothing

Verse

I'm always caught right in the middle
Always thinking of a better way of livin
I may be lonely but I've only got myself to blame.

There comes a time when you've gotta make choices,
Fall behind, or stumbling forward
I'll never ever let it get the best of me.

Chorus

Four years of lonely nothing,
Drinking for a new beginning
In this state the bottle's my only friend
There's no light, there's no way forward
They try to tell me but I just ignore it, oh
I'll give up tomorrow

Verse 2

I pick a fight for no real reason
Out of money so I start stealing
At this rate, I'll end up behind bars.

There's no way out I'm trying and trying
How can I fix it, if I keep hiding
Deep inside, the devil is ruling me.

Chorus

Four years of lonely nothing,
Drinking for a new beginning
In this state the bottle's my only friend
There's no light, there's no way forward
They try to tell me but I just ignore it, oh
I'll give up tomorrow

End Chorus

Four years, I'm stone cold sober
My only drop is just plain water
Now I've got plenty of friends
I saw a light, it bowled me over
I really have to thank my daughter, oh
I gave up for Shiloh
