Bold, powerful and unforgettable, it’s her voice that first spreads goose bumps across your arms and then the whole artist emerges; spunky, witty, gorgeous and boiling with passion for her instinct to perform.
TAJ En’Phiniti, is the fifth child of ten children, born and raised in Dallas, TX by her mother and father Ricky Williams Sr. Since the tender age of three, TAJ has touched the hearts of all who welcomed her melodic gift of singing. TAJ and her siblings began a national recording gospel group called “All for Christ” (A.F.C.) where she was one of the lead singers and later on, performed on the “Dr. Bobby Jones Show”. That was only the beginning! They later shared the stage with CeCe Winans, La’Shawn Pace, Al Green, Shirley Ceasar, Detric Hadden, and Bishop T.D. Jakes.
As TAJ blossomed into a young woman, her gifts enhanced; it was then she began recording as a solo artist. While living in Atlanta, TAJ has been fortunate and blessed enough to perform and record with both national and international artists, producers and songwriters; Rodney Jerkins, RicoLove, Sean Garrett, Adonis Shropshire, Musiq, Keith Sweat, and many more.
TAJ’s voice catapulted her into the world of acting where she earned a main character role in the national stage play “Good God A’ Mighty”. This would eventually lead to her being chosen for main character roles in the national stage plays “Man of Her Dreams” & “There’s a Stranger in My House”. TAJ also was casted for a role in “Men Cry in the Dark” and “Gossip, Lies and Secrets”. Her singing, acting, dancing, songwriting, and her universal looks allow her to play virtually any role.
While having the privilege of learning from some of the best and sharing the acting spot-light with stars like Clifton Powell, Malik Yoba, Jackie Harry, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Shirley Murdock, Ralph Tresvant, LisaRae, Jackie Clark-Chisholm, A.J. Johnson and many others; TAJ has never lost sight of her true dream of singing and performing for audiences around the world.
Her name, TAJ En’Phiniti, is truly a mirror of her work; TAJ (highest honorable leader, highest jewel) and En'Phiniti (never ending, quantity without bound or end); TAJ will continue to evolve as an entertainer, as well as an actor. She continues to prove herself as being dedicated, a hard-worker, a study of her craft, an unstoppable force; a full-throttle to look out for.
TAJ En’Phiniti is currently working on her solo project that is sure to produce a refreshing sound of “Pop Rock Soul”. A sound that will unite and ignite one's craving to want to see and hear more.
