Takeda

After a brief hibernation Takeda reappeared in 2010 for a series of shows as a muscular, noisy trio playing brand new songs and reworkings of old tracks . Guitar, Bass & Drums playing Raga-Rock music full of drones, open tunings and the same sweet vocal harmonies as had been heard on previous material.

This new material was recorded in February 2010 and released September that same year as the album "Hufsa". Recorded live in the studio in just a couple of days, it offered a peep into their new live sounds.

Another period of hibernation followed. More studio time. Endless tinkering and fiddling, recording at home.

Then in September 2011 appears the album "SaRiGaMa". This album sees Takeda forget the genre constraints imposed by their contemporaries and sees them blast 'Folk-Rock', 'Fusion-Rock', - whatever - into the stratosphere. It is a heaving, pulsating muscle of a record that stands apart form other works in the genre and pushes far into uncharted territory.

Takeda are currently working on their third album Arable Land. It will be released late 2012.
