Taken By Chance started out as a small this for a grouop of 4 guys with one thing in common... Blink 182 was one of their big influences into music.
With this in mind, Taken By Chance was started by Fran, Craig, Reece and Shane with 2 goals: To be fun and to play energetic pop punk music.
TBC played their first show 2 months after they started jamming in Novemeber of 2006 as a late inclusion. They headlined the first show.
One show a month follwed for the next 6 months when a break was taken. In this time, Fran had his tonsils removed and then the bands first blow. Reece's commitment to the band wasn't as great as the others and Reece left the band.
TBC the gained Luke to join in after auditions took place and they set about getting this bus started again.
In November of 2007 TBC played a "comeback" show and then did their first small tour. A trip to Perth, western Australia.
2008 has seen TBC record their debut EP titled "Whay Are We Awake?" (release date June 21) and seen them play shows to 300+ crowds on a few occasions. TBC hope to tour with their EP nationally and hope to start travelling internationally in the not to distant future.
