Originally formed in 2008 by founding member Jason Wisneski and hailing from the football meccah known as Green Bay, Wisconsin, Taken Flight is comprised of 5 musicians with varied musical backgrounds but with a common goal in mind… TO MAKE THE CATCHIEST, MOST ANTHEMIC SONGS POSSIBLE THAT COMBINE ALL OF THE MUSICAL STYLES THEY LOVE! Newly released in Feb 2012, Taken Flight's latest 4 song EP "Messed up but alright", does just that! From the fist pumping anthemic punk-pop title track to the wistful ballad like duet feel of "The World" , to the electro rock thumping of "Wake Up" & a remixed version of previous single "Coast to Coast", this is a 20 minute rollercoaster of sonic bliss that is anything but boring...

“We come from different backgrounds musically, myself & Dan from punk rock, Brandon has a classic rock background, Logan has played both metal & punk and Travis is into everything from electronica to emo, but the one thing we all have in common is a desire to make songs with the catchiest hooks we can possibly think of so that you will always want more", adds front man & founding member Jason Wisneski. "We knew we wanted to make pop-rock songs that are both radio ready and that combine the energetic elements of both punk & electro music together for a really fun combination that you can both dance to & rock out to at the same time. We also wanted to make music that has that “BIG” sound that great glam bands like Bon Jovi are able to achieve with their music, so hopefully people will hear that in the studio and at our live shows as well”.

Taken Flight's brand of music combines punk inspired guitars with elements of modern electro pop and catchy power pop hooks. Jason Wisneski's honest lyrics give the songs a true to life feel that is straight from the heart & easy to connect to for the listener.

After overcoming some lineup changes early on, Taken Flight has worked very hard over the past several years at getting the music heard via internet, radio & any other networking sources available. The band has also consistently played shows with other up and coming local Wisconsin acts, as well as opened up for national acts such as Relient K, Ludo & We are Heroes. After recording 2 self-released EP’s, Taken Flight finished recording their first full length album titled "Place Your Bets” in October 2010. The album combined several new songs with a few re-recorded versions of previous EP hits. The most notable tracks were infectious rocker, "Down Low", a tongue in cheek number about a sexual relationship kept "hush-hush" to avoid confrontation with an overprotective dad, and the energetic "Short Skirts and Pantyhose". In 2011, they released teaser single "Coast to Coast" which was later remixed on the "Messed up but alright" EP.

With the 2012 release of the "Messed up but alright" EP, Taken Flight plans to take their infectious brand of power-pop to the next level with a midwest & east coast tour & a full on radio promo campaign. Stay tuned....
