Talan

Talan is a Hip Hop artist from Mansfield, Ohio. His rap career started from recording himself on a Karaoke machine to now recording in his own home studio. Because of a lack of producers in his city, Talan learned how to produce and write all on his own. After releasing a debut collaboration record with his label mates in 2005, Talan was building a strong foundation to jump into the industry fast. But in 2006, all Talan's dreams came to a halt when he was sentenced to 7 years in prison. Good behavior got Talan released early in the Summer of 2010. A year later he was released from a strenuous probation and put out his debut album "Nice to meet me" off an independent label founded by him and his younger brother. The amazing thing about Talan is how much he has achieved from this one album. From coming home from prison and not even having a microphone to record with. Talan would borrow his brother's laptop and his iPod earbuds w/ the mic and lock himself and his parents car to record. To opening up for people like MGK and King Chip. Talan's whole debut was written and produced entirely by him. Every design was made by him from cd artwork, website design, and T-Shirts. He even writes and directs his music videos with matching quality and creativity as the music. After building this foundation, he is now recording a mixtape titled #twoadays and is pushing hard to further himself as fast as he can. His music is very versatile as he talks about all the aspects of his life. The gritty story matched with the pop culture appeal makes Talan a very interesting artist to watch and listen to.
