What happens when you give a gospel/soul singer a cherry red semi-hollow body guitar and some pedals? Well, you get people clapping, singing, and dancing. Juxtaposing an eclectic mix of soul, folk and hip-hop, Southern Illinois native Miss Lori LeChien knows how to bring people together with the music of Talk2Strangers.
Audiences not only feel inspired to sing along and clap to the music, but to also shed their fears and turn strangers into friends. We all need a safe space to feel loved and accepted, and the music of Talk2Strangers creates that healing space in order to build a more beloved community.
Miss Lori sang background vocals on Portugal the Man's 2017 Grammy Award-winning record "Woodstock" and on Electric Guest’s 2017 record “Plural”. She is wrapping up a self-titled Talk2Strangers LP with producers Cole M. Greif-Neill (Beck, Snoop Dogg) John Barnes III (Pharcyde,The Roots), and Jon Gilbert (Pete Yorn, Off!) and has plans to release a single in 2019.
