"The Bowery Electric 2.26.16 Review"

Our next article of evidence in debunking music’s untimely demise came in the form a minimalist garage rock duo (despite the addition of a live bassist in an attempt at triangular symmetry) from New Jersey with devout blues convictions. Tall Days, with their well founded inspiration and upbringing from the good ol’ ’00s, when two member garage rockers hailing from the rust belt took the popular music scene by storm — nearly proving to the world that bass players might actually be pointless. (We now know they were all wrong, but it was the 00’s and strange times they were.) Under the unbreakable spell of tireless, yet authentic blues licks, combined with immeasurable, possibly even dangerous levels of soulfulness, the gyrating crowd soon became possessed. Such was the unbridled level in supernaturally channeled soulfulness by Guitar/Vocalist Graham Hartke, that his very knees frequently gave way to the malevolent desires of recently summoned blues demons of a bygone era. Keeping the hell-fire of rock and roll burning, Tall Days burned the place to the ground, and no less would be expected in a neighborhood all too familiar with the idea of keeping the music alive. - Monkey Goose Magazine

"NJ Blues Rockers Tall Days Share The Driving Back To The Sound"

Garden State-based blues-rock outfit Tall Days released their latest EP, Back to the Sound, on February 3rd, and just from listening to it once you can hear a great rock style blended with a pop-punk sound.
Their opening track entitled “Crosstown” establishes a strong, driving rhythm from its opening measure. The song reminds me of early British Invasion (The Who, The Beatles, Stones), with flares of post-punk/early 2000’s rock n’ roll (my mind goes to The Strokes). One aspect that I love about this band’s sound is the guitarist interlude on the pre-chorus, it makes me want to hear the band live at an Asbury Park venue.

The opening track creates an unique segue into the second track titled “The Wall,” a raw and bare boned rock song. The song draws you in immediately with its opening guitar riff and grooving bass line. The band also refers to the name of the EP, lets go “back to the sound,” in the chorus of this bold and classic rock song. This track makes me think back to the days of games like Guitar Hero or Rock Band, providing a perfect amount of nostalgia, but also letting the listener just thrash to this awesome beat busting rock song.
That thrashing, gut busting song in “The Wall” contrasts quite smoothly with the final track “Sing.” This track provides a laid-back rock structure, not with the trashing rhythm, but rather providing strong harmonies with pure guitar quality coming through your speakers. This is the one song where I enjoyed the vocals equally as much as the background sounds.

This Jersey indie-band provides their listeners with great nostalgia with their 60’s blues-rock sound, along with elements of head banging and rebellious dancing that come from its pop-punk influence. Tall Days provide their audience with a raw and up tempo sound, following their predecessors in their quest of rebelling against today’s mainstream blah. - Speak In My Good Eye

Tall Days is a rock n roll duo from New Jersey that draws upon influences ranging from 60's British blues (Zep, Peter Green, Stones) to 70's rawk (Stooges, NY Dolls) to modern garage-rock (Jack White, Strokes).

On stage, Tall Days puts every ounce of energy into their set; sticks fly, guitars end up on the ground, amps turned up to 11, choreographed dancing from fans occasionally happens, and much more....

Tall Days music has been played on stations across the country including NYC's Q104.3 FM's "Out of the Box", Sirius/XM "Unsigned", BBOX Radio, WHDA FM among many others. The song, "Crosstown", was placed in the HULU show, "Difficult People" in September.
