"Itunes"

If you like your music quirky and your harmonies rich and sweet then the Tall Poppies are for you. The album showcases the twins writing talen, ably assisted by brother on drums. These songs are about everyday life, viewed through an undeniably off beat sense of humour. - Customer Review

"Live Review"

"They look super – all legs, knee socks, knowing grins to each other and glossy bobs. They sound even better – inch perfect harmonies, all Tanya Donelly crossed with Barbara Dickson(!), abetted by bass and guitar that is another texture, rather than just an aside." James G, SoundsXP.com - SoundsXP.com

"Live Review, Soundchecks"

"The Poppies' charismatic presence is the absolute epitome of refined professionalism.......Tall Poppies are a rare and wonderful treat." Tony Lee, Soundchecks. - Soundchecks

Bio

Tall Poppies = Colour and Movement = Twins Susan and Catherine, backed by

Backed by drummer Doug (formerly from Noah and the Whale) and Irish Violin Maestro Dairmuid. They play well crafted melodic songs drenched in dual harmonies, singing stories of the strange and unusual.

The twins relocated from Perth, Australia surviving after deciding to take their music to foreign shores. They scored a residency in Islington and wrote a new song every week to keep the sets fresh. They returned to Australia to record their first album, 'Thursday' while Susan completed a medical degree.  They returned to London to record the second and met Diarmuid in an old Victorian psychiatric unit. They were later joined by Doug and have a new EP on its way.

Theyve toured the UK, played festivals such as 2000 Trees and have also played in Germany, New York and Australia. They have played alongside names such as Stornoway, James Blunt and Boy George.
