Bio
We are Puertorrican musicians, [students and BA's in music from Music Conservatory of Puerto Rico and University of Puerto Rico Music Dept.] with high influences from jazz, blues, R&B, rock and roll, african [bomba y plena], son and rumba [salsa], brazilian[samba and bossa nova], and reggae.
We love our roots and emotional, soulful music.
Specific artist who influence us are in no order of importance: Esperanza Spalding, Jill Scott, Tata Guines, Ruben Blades, Juan Luis Guerra, Jay Z, Calle 13, John Mayer, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Sergio Mendez, Erykah Badu, Cultura Profética, The Beatles, Israel Houghton, Queen, Buena Vista Social Club, among many others [clasical composers, jazz standards].
We started working since February 2009, when Raquel and Cristian teamed up to try out a few lyrics and a beautiful musical chemistry flourished between them. The band has been assembling since April 2009, working intensely and Dreaming BIG.
