"Tamar Eisenman EP- A great option for this winter..."

"...And if I'm talking about a Jerusalem alternative, this week I recieved in the mail an EP including 5 songs in english by a young singer-songwriter named Tamar Eisenman. Her songs are beautiful and soft, totally not from here. Like Joni Mitchel with a lot of guitars. As of now this EP sounds like a great option for the winter and getting it is worth the effort... "

- Ori Sal'ee | 7 Nights | 24.10.2003

"EP Review"

"Listening to this debut EP (5 songs), throws you to pastures far away from the local club scene. Eisenman sounds like an authentic delegate of the ever fertile "folk singers" genre, with a large acoustic guitar, a small production, and a devilish grin. In other words, in the style of the Ani Difranco flock. This short-short CD conquers you on the first listening, but it's an enlightened conquest. Small, gentle, and very humane. The sort that will warm you through the cold winter nights, which Eisenman, the Jerusalem native, knows so well. Welcome."

- Shay La'Hav | Z'man Tel-Aviv | 10.10.2003

"The Beginning of a promising journey"

…”Eisenman is no longer the shy guitar player who released a short, unassuming EP two years ago…She joins a small unique group of Israeli Singer-Songwriters who feel right at home with an electric guitar….She connects to the energy source to find her own personal power... She has the right to proudly wave her business card: She’s already come a long way with her original and unique cover songs- and if relying on her performance, her journey has just begun”. - Gidi Avivi, Ha'aretz, November 2006

"Cat Fight"

“…Finally after many warm-up acts, Tamar Eisenman got up on stage, which I think gave justice to the whole evening…Accompanied by amazing drummer Aviv Cohen The 2nd and equally fantastic bass player Ariel Sharbakovsky, Eisenman- Whos’ Telecaster funky guitar conducted the band with confidence, puts on a show that is groovy and tight, that bases itself on the unity of this amazing trio… Finally a singer-Songwriter who is also a true guitarist, with great technique and rhythm. The audience loves her, and she gives them even more in return… Her accent in English rises to the standards of her influences like Anni Defranco or Allanis Morrisette, and sounds equally good in Hebrew…” - Yuval Gerstein, Kol Ha’ir, November 2006

"The Tamar Festival has begun..."

“…Tamar comes out onto the stage wearing worn jeans and a white tank-top. The venue is impressively packed with no room to even stand…Eisenman is small and sexy, and the way she flirts with her guitar is definitely worth an applause…” - Itay Waldman, Ma’ariv

Bio

Tamar Eisenman spent a part of her childhood in San Francisco with her family, and it was then
that she was first introduced to rock, folk, blues and country music. She has been investigating
the wonders of that instrument, and of music in general, ever since. Tamar released five official
studio albums mixing meticulous yet live feel production styles with a sensitive singersongwriter
ethic. Tamar is a singer songwriter and guitarist that regularly shatters stereotypes. Presenting a
versatile musical attitude she sounds equally at ease with the delicate acoustic ballads as she
does with energetic guitar riffs driven songs.

After her mandatory army service Tamar performed and recorded with several artists as guitar
player and producer. During that time she decided to built her own studio, there she started to
record her first songs.

In September 2003 Tamar released her self titled and produced EP composed and recorded at
her home studio.

to Jimi Hendrix’s guitar style. Tamar was growing her fan base and her shows to critical acclaim
and to some commercial success as she became very known as a guitarist, considered to be

Expanding from the local indie scene Tamar was introduced to new audience and performed
across the country and also collaborated with great musicians and joined the legendary
