don't Miss You

Written By: Tamasyn Clare

I don’t like you any more or any less than anybody else
See me not care where you live or how you dress or where you put your mouth
Couldn’t care less who you hug and kiss,
Cause there’s really nothing that I miss
Don’t you know it’s true?
I don’t miss you

Saw you out the other day…completely by mistake
Hardly even saw you positively didn’t do a second take
And you know I never think about your eyes
Or the dimple in your left cheek when you smile
Cause it’s so so true
I don’t miss you

I don’t miss you any more or any less than Canadians like to be mistaken for Americans
Or Halloween needs hooligans
Don’t need you like I don’t need oxygen
Or Lois Lane needs Superman
Don’t love you same as Harry don’t love Sal,
Don’t mourn you same as God when Satan fell
Don’t miss a thing you say or do,
Like I don’t miss you

It’s just a case of logic cause we really truly didn’t make much sense
I wasn’t strong in your weakness, nor were you in mine, the passion was just too intense
So it’s easy come it’s easy go
Love at first sight, this week letting go
So you see it’s true
I don’t miss you

I don’t miss you
Don’t miss you
Don’t miss you
Get it in your head
I won’t miss you
Won’t miss you
Won’t miss you
Get it in my head

I don’t miss you any more or any less than Canadians like to be mistaken for Americans
Or Halloween needs hooligans
Don’t need you like I don’t need oxygen
Or Lois Lane needs Superman
Don’t love you same as Harry don’t love Sal,
Don’t mourn you same as God when Satan fell
Don’t miss a thing you say or do,
Like I don’t miss you

I won’t let myself love you,
Same as Harry don’t love Sal
Won’t mourn you same as God when Satan fell
Because it’s absolutely, positively, couldn’t be clearer, plain for me to see.

You don’t miss me.

Hold On

Written By: Tamasyn Clare

There has to be a new tomorrow
The sun must come shining through
And all of your hopes
All of you dreams will come true

I know how far you have walked now
Your wary feet just want to rest
But there is a plan
We don’t always understand what is best

But hold on
I’m praying for you
Hold on
There’s nothing else you can do
We just have to keep breathing
Keep pushing through
Hold on
To the strongest part of you

You’ve suffered one too many hardships
And proved you’re strong time and again
Now it’s sink or swim
And I won’t let you give in to the pain

You’ve got to hold on
I’m praying for you
Hold on
There’s nothing else you can do
But we just have to keep breathing
Keep pushing through
Hold on
To the strongest part of you

That bird with broken wing who still intends to fly
That tiny voice within that refuses to die
That truth within your heart that love will save the day
The part that can’t be crushed no matter what they say
No matter what they say
No matter what they say

You’ve got to hold on
I’m praying for you
Hold on
There’s nothing else you can do
We have to keep breathing
Keep pushing through
Hold on

You’ve got to hold on
I’m praying for you
Hold on
There’s nothing else you can do
We have to keep breathing
Keep pushing through
Hold on
To the strongest part of you

Lighthouse

Written By: Tamasyn Clare

There’s a lighthouse
My fear has placed a lighthouse on my heart
A warning to all ships that there are rocks around these parts
Treacherous and dark is this heart

There’s a warning
To anyone for 50 miles around
A scarlet beam to show that there were ships that ran aground
Graphic but profound they left no sound

And you’re sailing, beyond the Isle of Liberty
You’re sailing, to Scotland’s Isle of green
And I watch from rocks of blue and grey
Another sailor’s passed my way but I’ll not leave my lighthouse
Not today

Weather here makes a world of black and white
Days pass by like years
But still nothing can compare to night,
The black of night,
The dead of night,
The endless night
Sacred Night

And you’re sailing, beyond the Isle of Liberty
You’re sailing, to Scotland’s Isle of green
And I watch from rocks of blue and grey
I watch you sailing, beyond the Isle of Liberty
I watch you sailing, please take me to Scotland’s Isle of green
I watch from rocks of blue and grey
Another sailor’s passed my way but I’ll not leave my lighthouse
Not today
