Tam Cassidy

Tam Cassidy was born in Glasgow. He has played music since he was in his late teens when he started off as a drummer, but in order to satisfy a yearning to get up to the front of the stage (they view was better) he eventually picked up a guitar, learned A,E,and D from his dad and basically never put it down again. As a competent rhythm guitarist he began singing and playing with the Coloured Dreams who he co-founded with friend Kevin McGowan. The 'Dreams' endured to last year and after a successful song writing partnership with Kev (see www.myspace.com/coloureddreams), both decided to try something new and so Tam began writing and performing solo.

Over the past few years Tam has concentrated of family and career and is now finding the extra bit of time to continue his musical journey in life. His musical influences include, The Beatles, The Doors, The Sex Pistols, Pink Floyd. Tams music was once described as emotional, raw and honest....well, listen for yourself. He is at his best when performing live either with a full band or on his own with his acoustic. He plays his songs with the same passion on his own in his sitting room, or at a gig to 100+ people.
