Tamechi has a down home, Southern cooked up groove that will have you movin' to his funky, soulful, hip hop sounds. Tamechi’s musical influences growing up included funk musicians such as George Clinton, Rick James...very eclectic type artists. Tamechi likes voices such as Jeffrey Osborne, Cheryl Lynn, Luther Vandross, Barry Mantilow, the Mary Jane Girls.

Tamechi’s style, flair, and choice of song topics of what he writes and sings about sets him apart from all others. Not only is Tamechi an accomplished songwriter who creates much of the material he performs, but also a hair stylist and fashion designer whose “cutting edge” style has attracted the attention of some of Hollywood’s elite performers. Tamechi is the owner and founder of BRIGZIT FASHION, a company that supplies exclusive and original designs in fashion and interior decorating. Tamechi is responsible for creating the legendary baggy pants worn by M.C. Hammer, a look that helped define the artist. Some other clients of Tamechi include Sherri Sheppard of TV sitcom Less Than Perfect, Kelita Smith of the Bernie Mack Show, Josh Henderson of Desperate Housewives, Club Nouveau, Vesta, Shanice, dance artist Karel, James Brown Bitter Sweet, Paula Jai Parker, Angelle Brooks, Mel Jackson, The Mary Jane Girls, and many others. Tamechi spent years as a dancer on Soul Train, sewing many of the outfits that appeared on the dancers.
