Local pop songstress Tammy Stamps recently released an album of original songs, "FREE".

The title song FREE is a quietly emotional track about finding the strength to escape domestic abuse
The folky tune "This I Know" speaks of the fortitude it takes to cope with a long term illness

I am always excited to hear new music, especially when it comes from a local artist. You never know what you are going to find when you put the CD in the player, but it is always an adventure.
Stamps has put together a great CD full of stories of love, loss and hope that touched the spaces in my heart. I could relate to the words. The music, a sort of contemporary folk with a hint of country, includes powerful vocals that are packed with feeling. She has a poetic soul and it shows through her music.
A couple of the songs really touched me. "This I Know" is a song that spoke to me about strength and relationships. The words paint a vivid picture. "You're The Only One For Me" gav the hope of a new relationship. But the title song "Free" summed up all of the emotions contained in the CD. There was hope, pain and a feeling of finding peace and freedom in this song.
Stamps should be proud of her debut. If you are looking for hard rock music, this CD is not for you. But if you like music that touches you and that allows the singer in you to join in and sing along, I would recommend giving this CD a try. It is an easy listen on the surface, but the emotions come through loud and clear when you truly listen. - Liberty Press

My debut CD entitled "FREE" was just released in June of 2006. I also have one of my songs on the "Bid Indie Comeback, Volume 2" CD out of the UK which will be coming out in Aug/Sept 2006. My music will also be on Matchbox 24 Radio out of the UK, Radio Crystal Blue from New York City. My song "I'll Never Leave" will receive airplay on Mvyradio.com on their Local Music Cafe out of Martha's Vineyard, along with "No One Else" on Radio Free Jackson out of Michigan and the title track "FREE" will be aired on Nette Radio out of Dallas, Tx. The song "I'll Never Leave" will be on the compilation Indiegrrl CD coming out in 9-2006! The song "I'll Never Leave" is also slated for airplay in Seattle Washington! Tammy's song "I'll Never Leave" hit the #1 slot on the Female Musician website February 12, 2007

Tammy Stamps is a new voice on the music scene with the release of her debut CD “Free” in June of 06. Inspired by her own life experiences of love, abuse, heartache and joy, she employs acoustic guitar to create simple, heartfelt tunes that engage her listeners to sing along. Her unique sound is an easy listen and has been described as “contemporary folk” filled with emotion. Born in California, most of her roots are in Wichita, KS where as a fifth degree black belt master and Olympic contender she owns and operates a martial arts academy. Music has been her life passion and is now her second career. She sang in local establishments for a number of years and will now be heard internationally with the inclusion of “No One Else” on “The Big Indie Comeback- Vol II” out of the UK, coming out in the Fall of 06. CD listeners have made requests to have her sing “You Make Me Whole” at their weddings and she now travels the US to share her music. A philanthropist at heart, Tammy has engaged in opportunities to share her music at a variety of charitable events including a humanitarian project to bring arts to small communities. Her music is slated for airplay at Matchbox 24 in the UK, Radio Crystal Blue in New York City, Mvyradio.com on their Local Music Cafe in Martha's Vineyard, Nette Radio out of Dallas and Radio Free Jackson out of Michigan!
