Bio

Coming from Strathpeffer in the North of Scotland, Tanera Heights currently have a foot in the door in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. The trio have been creatively invlolved since 2006 and have been gigging widely under the guise Tanera Heights since October 2010.

The self-release of their debut E.P Cannons and drums encouraged critical acclaim from various scottish websites and bloggers (Peenko, Kowalsky, Bluesbunny.com, Argos Barks, amongst a number of others.

After well received gigs in Glasgow at King Tuts, Nice N Sleazys, Stereo and Ivory Blacks to name a few the band aim to continue their positive momentum with a headline slot at the Captain's Rest in April and a new E.P towards the end of the year.

‘(Tanera Heights) seem to have the secret to making songs that are incredibly infectious since the first time you hear them. They possess originality, they avoid all the overused clichés of pop music but still sound familiar, like we were just waiting for them to appear in our playlist’

Argosbarks.com

‘(Tanera Heights) clearly ‘get’ each other artistically, and the fusion of their combined talents and personalities delivers an infectious sound helped along by a generous side of charm. It is hard to resist their catchy tunes, slick lyrics, and unyielding optimistic attitude.’

The Score

‘You know what strikes me most about this band? It is the complexity of what they are doing. No more maxed out guitars in a power chord frenzy as is the Scottish way. Instead the songs are driven by experimentation around the mainstream.’

Bluesbunny.com

‘A very tight professional sounding threesome’

Dauphinmag.com

‘The songwriting is creative and never repetitive.......Tanera Heights certainly delivers in songwriting and musical professionalism in their recordings, which is quite impressive for being young. Normally it takes bands quite a while to reach this level, and I’m sure the fans have noticed.’

Studentatlarge.net

'A much bigger sound than the sum of its parts. Guitar, drums, bass, piano, synth and fantastic harmony vocals are all in there yet there are only three of them’

Hi-Arts

'Atlanta leaves us as we should be, wanting more'
