Bio
Tanesha Douglas was born October 20, 1987 in Newark. Raised in a single parent home, Tanesha found writing at the young age of 7 years old as a way to express herself and her emotions. When she was 15 she landed a recording deal with Animocity Records; however, after exploring the industry, she realized that being a rapper was not her calling at the time. Although she was out of the industry, she continued to write.
In August 2005, she enrolled at the University of Georgia (Athens) and continued to write and perform locally at campus functions, gaining a support base in the process. In her sophomore year Tanesha took a hiatus from writing. It wasn’t until November 2008 that she returned to her craft of poetry. She has been writing regularly since then.
Tanesha is a fun-loving, excited, always smiling, God-fearing, and a loving individual. She strives to continue to spread positive energy to those around her.
