THIS IS MY LIFE….AND I AM HERE TO TELL THE STORY
Tangela Bell- Born in Birmingham, Alabama and also a native of Boston Massachusetts, Ms. Bell has a style that is unique. Her very new contemporary sound is mesmerizing; her demanding presence will surely keep you spellbound. Not only is her sound soulful and sultry like that of Jill Scott and Erykah Badu, but she has been compared to great acts such as Phyllis Hyman and Ertha Kitt.
Her debut single titled, “Addiction”, speaks to many as they face that recurring compulsion to engage in whatever activity that seduces them such as sex, drugs and alcohol. Tangela decided to put a face on that addiction that seduced her for years. The single titled “Freaky Tales” talks about Tangela’s promiscuous life that she faced as many of our young women have everyday. Following is “Calling Me’ which speaks to the continuing lure and literal call of addictive behaviors. Lastly, you will hear “Tears”; the pain and suffering of love, rejection and depression that continued to surround her as she made that change in life, to starting a new.
Tangela has faced what most have not begun to imagine, yet she is holding on. Diagnosed with AIDS, she continues to speak out and tell her story to whom ever will listen. As an advocate for those who live with HIV, Tangela holds no punches. “It’s real, it’s here, and it can’t change your life forever” as Tangela explains to many.
With a new face on life, Tanglela shares her music and her mission is to bring AIDS awareness to the world about the #1 killer of African American Women in this country.
Now is the perfect time for Tangela Bell to step onto the scene and be heard and felt by all that have laid the foundation.
