Tanglewood

Tanglewood is the story of 5 guys that created a fresh new sound of rock and roll. A little bit of blues, a little bit of pop, with soulful harmonies built upon the tried and true method of meaningful lyrics with a distinctive sound. What you will find with this band is something that you will not soon forget.

The story of this band began in a warehouse in the west side of Chicago where the original members started banging out old rock n' roll classics. Those guys would eventually strike out to Sylvie's Bar on the far north side of Chicago and test their wares before friends and family. A following quickly developed and the band was soon doing cover shows in the city at Wise Fools Pub.

Not long after this quick good fortune the band started to write tunes that they incorporated into their cover sets. The response to the tunes was so good that the guys decided to make an album. In May of 2010 California Road was released with seven tracks that were the core of the band's live show. These tracks were recorded in the manner that they were meant to be heard, as if you were at a live show. Little editing and naked.

Today the band grows even more, recently playing Double Door and Cubby Bear in Chicago and playing several summer festivals in the tough Chicago market. The much anticipated second album, with producer Jamie Candiloro (eagles, luscious jackson, willie nelson, Ryan Adams), will be released in June just in time for the heat and good times that is summer in Chicago.
