"You could sing before you could talk" is my mothers favorite story to tell to remind me that I was born to entertain. Growing-up, you could say I was training my entire life to sing, dance, act and perform all the way around.

I was in a myriad of musicals, plays, orchestras, choirs, recitals and more. This allowed me to start developing my craft. In highschool I was in every talent show and in church, every holiday program.

Though I have an old soul, it allows me to appreciate GREATS such as Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Denise Williams, Marvin Gaye, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Paul McCartney, Al Green, Donny Hathaway, Tempations, and the list goes on.

Having other influences such as Lauryn Hill/Fugees, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Creed, Beyonce', John Legend, A Tribe Called Quest, Common, Maroon 5, Biggie and others, allows me to not only have a great appreciation for all facets of music, but to roll them all in what I identify as my own genre/style.

This alone sets me apart from other artists because I genuinely convey these styles in my songs. My music has substance and expression of lifes turmiols that I have witnessed.

I write all of my own songs, have done some co-producing and some co-writing for other artist. Lyrically, I have a pen of a hip-hop artists due to my early and current influences. This twist allows me to have people pay attention to not only pretty notes, but the content in my music.

I live and breath MUSIC... It's in my DNA.
