Tank Hoffa was born Thomas Petoff in Brooklyn New Yorks Coney Island hospital. His life from the age of five (5) was mostly spend in group homes, foster homes, institutions and prison. Tank Hoffa was shot and paralyzed in 2006. In 2010 he was tried and convicted of two gun charges, and was sentenced to 3 years in A State Correctional Institution. Prior to his release in 2013 he spent the entire time researching and mastering his knowledge of the music business and working on his lyrics. Today Tank Hoffa's accolades consist of, Opening for Gucci Mane on the 4th of July 2010 and being interviewed twice locally by WERG Gannon University Radio station in 2013 for. Go Erie.com, interviewed by @juniorscave music blog in 2014 "Artists are here today and gone tomorrow. There is no artist development, it's all about the next hot thing". @Go_HardRadio & @BestMusicNews4URadio playing his single "Shine" and "On My Own" Plus @Go_HardRadio featured him in their Go Hard Magazine.Tank Hoffa is a hiphop purist trying to bring hip-hop back to its origin. He is making music for his fans which typically attend his shows by the hundreds, even when Tank Hoffa is performing 2 to 3 times a week. With his rasp voice and majestic wordplay his sound bring to mind a combination of Drake and Kendricks Lamar with the conviction that Styles P brings to a track. All his music is made to help his fans transcend the stresses of there daily life. His latest E.P entitled "The Come Up" which debuted March 2014 already has sold over 450 copies.
