Tanqueray-Loc

A veteran hip-hop lyricist,R&B vocalist & producer, Tanqueray-Loc has been composing some of the roughest, gangster, hardcore street music in the midwest since the early ninety's. In association with his good friend Heat, they started making music together in 1991 under the influence of Tanqueray-Loc's older brother William(K-wood) Lacy.

This would be the beginning of a long road that lead to one of the most prolific production teams in the midwest. Following the dreams of his older brother (K-WOOD) Tanqueray-Loc promptly became a man of his own dreams seeking a seat at the table of great producers and writers world wide.
With a knack for funky bass lines, erie worms and melodic under tones
that soothe the soul, he is no doubt one of the best at his craft.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota Tanqueray-Loc
is well known on the streets as well as the clubs in this city with such a great music history.
Having faced hard times early in age Tanqueray-Loc is no stranger to the street life having already lived what is portrayed in todays (trap music) era.
This he feels is the greatest time for his craft to shine and be recognized. Having took to the road performing across the midwest and making connections all across the united states, he sees his music fitting in at all levels of todays industry standard rap music. And in some cases he feels that his music in superior to a lot of productions that have grossed millions and generated thousands of fans.

Loosing his mentor, best friend and father figure, his older brother William (K-Wood) Lacy who was gunned down in North Minneapolis, Minnesota in july of 2005. Performing at the motown talent search in 1995, appearing on the soundtracks of Blood and Tears by dark room familia and justice the movie by jujitsu films. Having the Murder Dogg Magazine fly out writter Matt Sonzales to the twin cities to do a feature article on him and a few other Twin cities veterans which unfortunately do to jealousy & politics was never printed. Being quoted in the "Source Magazine" as one of the hottest producers in 2000 for the track "south side siccness" which he produced on the 2000 release of "Don't judge a book by it's cover" vol.1 by Ms. Chambers. The list can go on!
