PIANO RECITAL BY THAI PIANIST, NOPPAWAN TANTIKARN, FREE ADMISSION!

The Frost School of Music, University of Miami proudly presents a Thai pianist and a sought after piano teacher, Noppawan Tantikarn in her first solo piano recital. Born in 1985, a winner of prestigious awards in many of the Thailand Piano Competitions, a classical pianist Noppawan Tantikarn is a graduate of Mahidol University, Illinois State University, and Frost School of Music, University of Miami, all with full scholarship. Noppawan is going to play her recital on Thursday evening April 15, 2010 at 8 PM. The recital will be held in the Clarke Recital Hall, Frost School of Music, University of Miami.

On her solo piano recital at the University of Miami, Noppawan will be performing J.S. Bach – Toccata in E minor BWV 914, Haydn - Sonata in C major, Hob.16/50, Chopin – Ballade No. 4 in F minor, and Ginastera - Sonata no.1 op.22, the first piano sonata by an Argentine composer.

Biography
A versatile classical pianist and piano accompanist, a competition prize-winner, and a soughtafter piano teacher, Noppawan Tantikarn, acquired her degrees in Piano Performance from the renown Mahidol University and the Illinois State University. Currently, Noppawan is a Doctoral of Musical Arts candidate majoring in piano performance at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami.
Her accomplished teaching and accompanying experiences encompass multiple areas including group piano teaching to undergraduate music-major students at the Illinois State University and the University of Miami while pursuing her Master’s and Doctoral Degree. Besides from working with adult students, Noppawan is highly honored for her successful profession as a music teacher to smaller children at the Yamaha School of Music, Bangkok and in the Preparatory Program at the University of Miami. Her believe to bring out the best in each child and to create a musical prodigy was accomplished while she was training preschool students in the Juniors Music Course, the Juniors Extension Course, and the Junior Special Advance Course for gifted students at the Yamaha School of Music, Thailand.
