Bio

Born and raised on the southside of Atlanta, Ga (East Point to be exact), Tantrum ws no stranger to the streets. Growing up on the infamous Washington Road he was surrounded by "southern inspiration". Like most young males Tantrum, born Ture' Mackall, adapted to his enviroment and began hanging with the older males causing mischeif and participating in certain illegal activities. During this time is when his love for music began to take form, from artist such as LL Cool J, NWA, 2Pac, Bone and various local artist, but it wasn't until he relocated to to the westside of Atlanta as to when the performing bug bit him.
"I went to school with Chris Smith from Kriss Kross and after I saw their success I was like, man I bet I could do that too, so one day just for fun I threw together this song called pimping all around the clock over this instrumental I had on tape. After that I was hooked and the rest is history"
And history it was, by the time he was 17 he moved to the southside and formed a group with his younger brother and two friends named "Street Souljahs" which led to a contracted tour and deal with an established manager/promoter, but before the deal could be closed it fell through due to the managers arrest. After a 6monthstint in military school Tantrum retured home more determined and experienced. Reforming his group they renamed themselves "Family Mafia" and began working the southside . After only a couple of months of performing, their buzz was phenominal. "I remember just going to the mall and having people yell 'Hey Family Mafia' or see me and start rapping one of my hooks, that's when I knew that we were doing our thang".
The buzz caught the ear of a local producer, which led to another recording and tour deal with an indie label in 2000, but that deal also fell through do to the label shutting down. That was the breaking point for Tantrum, so he decided to take everything he learned from his experiences and handle his own fate. In 2004 Tantrum started Somethin' Serious Entertainment, a multi-faceted company dedicated to helping young talented individuals, normally overlooked by the industry, not go through the same dissapointments he went through. Besides being CEO and Producer for SSENT he is also an active artist. His underground LP loaded with hot club hits and even a few Parodies "Out da Trunk Vol. I" is blazing the streets and getting great reviews and criticism from DJ's and industry socialites. He is definetly a force to be reckoned with both behind the mic and behind the scenes.
