Washington DC: KingdomGate recording artist Tanya Dallas-Lewis to perform at the first Global Woman Summit in Washington DC. The prestigious Global Woman Summit is a three-day event that will bring together nearly a thousand women of many nationalities, religions and faiths, in a 'call to action' on topics that affect women's lives with educational and networking sessions by world leaders, diplomats and experts.

Award winning gospel artist Tanya Dallas-Lewis, who recently received two appearances for the 2012- 27th Stellar Awards, is humbled and honored to be a part of this historical event. In response to the invitation Tanya stated; "Women's issues and the plight of women and girls around the world have always been important to me. So to be invited to take part in such a historic, educational event that brings women together from all over the world in a call-to-action on some of the most important issues of our day, I have to be a part!''

Tanya will sing her award winning triumphant ballad ''Something About A Miracle,'' a striking and bracing ballad that explodes into an inspirational anthem. It's a song that perfectly fits the summit-times are rough for many, but the hopes of the nations, buoyed by women traveling from all over the world, to meet in one place, are open to new possibilities. Far from being a newcomer to the game, Tanya Dallas-Lewis has shared the stage with some of gospel's greatest, including Vicki Winans, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Kenny Lattimore, Mary Mary and Richard Smallwood. "Washington Nationals Tap Tanya Dallas-Lewis for National Athem"

The Washington Nationals will host their first "Faith Night" at Nationals Park in Washington, DC on Monday, April 16, 2012. Gospel recording artist Tanya Dallas-Lewis will sing the Star Spangled Banner on the field prior to the game.

Pastor Joel Osteen of The Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas will be on hand to throw out the first pitch. As part of the activities for "Faith Night," three church Praise Team musical groups (choirs, ensembles or solo singers) will be selected to perform in Centerfield Plaza. The Washington Nationals will play the Houston Astros and game time is 7:05 (EST).



Tanya Dallas-Lewis has charted on all three gospel music chart, Tanya received two Stellar nominations for the 2012-27th Stellar (New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year). She was also a nominee for the 2011 South Florida Gospel Music Awards in West Palm Beach, Florida. This past July, she was a three- time nominee for the 2011 Rhythm of Gospel Awards, and is a 2010 YGEA Awards winner for ''Best Female Performer of the Year.'' She was nominated for a Washington Area Music Award (Wammies) in 2011.

From first listen the sound of Tanya Dallas-Lewis is angelic, uplifting and inspiring. Her current single "The Greatest" is taking the music industry by storm. Tanya Dallas-Lewis’s voice has enabled her to travel some very special roads.
From Amateur Night at the Apollo to the most notable political gatherings in our nation’s capital, her singing has entertained, empowered, and inspired. The daughter of a pastor who began singing in her father’s church, Tanya has been singing for as long as she can remember. From singing the National Anthem for Jesse Jackson and the Mayor of D.C., to sharing the stage with artists like Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Vickie Winans, Mary Mary, Kenny Lattimore, Richard Smallwood and many more.
She’s appeared on three gospel CD’s, and has sung for the U.S. Army, BET, the Congressional Black Caucus, and the National Negro Council of Black Women. On July 30th, Tanya performed with Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir for a live taping at the BET Soundstage in Washington D.C for the new season of Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel. Her music video for her hit song ‘Something About A Miracle’ is in heavy rotation on BET and she is currently being featured on The Word Network. This past fall, she received two Stellar Nods, advancing to the second and final round ballot of the 2012 Stellar Gospel Music Awards for ‘Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year’ and ‘New Artist of the Year,’ and this spring she had the honor of performing at The White House for the Executive Office Of the President’s annual Black History Month program. She also was tapped to sing The National Anthem in front of more than 16,000 for the Washington National’s first ever ‘’Faith Night’’ where famed mega pastor Joel Osteen made the first ceremonial pitch. Coming off of her successful career as an on-air reporter for the Ion Network, Tanya works in the music ministry at her church as a worship leader, a youth choir director, and a youth leader.
