Bio
Tara Mason is a Canadian pop/rock/electronic singer-songwriter. Her first EP, Afterlife, was released on 20 April 2013, and the video for her first single, "Time To Go", is set to be released late 2013. The music video is directed by Erik Knudsen and stars Bates Motel's Richard Harmon.
At the age of 14, she began her start in the music business as a videographer for an independent record label which lead to various roles within the industry. She then taught herself to play guitar which lead to her start in songwriting and playing in local rock bands. Later, she took an interest in modelling which gained her a large fan base on Myspace and also appeared in feature films. Shortly after, she took time to focus on creating her sound as a solo artist. After working with many songwriters in Los Angeles and Toronto and struggling to get exactly what she wanted, she teamed up with her long time friend, Rufio's Scott Sellers, who co-wrote and produced her EP Afterlife. The EP was mostly recorded and produced in California but the vocals were self-recorded at Tara's home studio in Toronto.
You can download her EP now on iTunes or purchase a physical copy on her website.
