Bio

Tara Ng-Whitehill, born and raised in Northern California, has been singing and writing songs ever since she was young. She sung the National Anthem at several large swimming competitions including The International Swim Meet held at the legendary Santa Clara Swim Club. When she lived in California, Tara did many concerts at various homeless shelters, convalescent homes, private parties and venues, high schools, and VA (Veterans of America) hospitals. In the year 2000, Tara’s song, “I See” made it to the finals at a songwriting competition in Los Angeles. When she graduated as valedictorian from high school, she performed her hit song, “You’re Always There” while accompanying herself on the piano. Currently, Tara performs at various showcases and conferences around the country, and she is working on expanding her territory locally in Nashville, Tennessee where she performs at coffee houses and clubs. On a recent trip to New York, Tara had the opportunity to sing and accompany herself on the electric guitar at Madison Square Garden.
As a prolific songwriter, Tara sees music as a way to relate and communicate to her listeners. Her main audience is teenagers and young adults. Tara’s songs are usually electric guitar driven and inspired by every day life situations. She claims that the Beatles are one of her musical inspirations because their career was so successful and they made such lasting impressions. Tara’s main goal is to write, sing, and play with a passion that will impact anyone listening.
