You would never expect the girl next door to belt out the tunes with the likes of Tracy Chapman and the lyrical stylist of Sarah Harmer, but indeed Tara Steeves does. Born in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Tara falls among the rare crowd of musicians who write and compose their own music. At the age of 27, this singer/songwriter has developed an impressive song book with lyrics that draw you in for more.
Tara recently recorded a majority of her demo album and plans to have this out by September. Attending many open mics throughout the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, to introduce her amazing talent to many other musicians and music fans. Finishing the demo album and booking shows at bars around Halifax is Tara’s next step to expose her music to Halifax.
