Tara Zepeda

Rafael and Tara met through mutual friends/bands. Tara has been writing and singing her entire life but was never given a chance to collaborate with another musician. She also never had the courage or direction until she met Rafael in 2009. Rafael has been a musician since high school (he is now 37). Rafael gave Tara the opportunity to collaborate with him on a song he wrote which in turn gave her the confidence and chance to express her skills and emotions. They married august of 2009 and have been making music together ever since.
Their influences are mainly metal, alternative, and grunge. Bands from Pantera, Lamb of God, to Sade, Zero 7 and Bob Marley are currently in their itunes. Although Tara enjoys any genre of music if it has a good lyric and a challenging vocal range for her to sing to. Her influences range from Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Jackson to Nirvana, Tool, Sunny Day Real Estate, Fiona Apple, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sia Furler, and Eddie Vedder. Tara also writes poems and often her lyrics are inspired by them. All of her poetry and lyrics are inspired by her true life experiences as well as the true life experiences of others.
