Bio

Los Angeles, California born singer-songwriter TaRhea Ray is a phenomenal soul driven powerhouse. She is a well rounded, versatile vocalist who was formally trained as a jazz and classical performer. Her intonation and vocal timbre will leave listeners wanting more. She writes the most beautiful melodies with luscious harmonies that give unique nuances. When performing, TaRhea commands the stage with a genuine connectedness. Her lyrics explore themes of empowerment, sensuality and rebellion against the social norms. Through her original songwriting, she holds nothing back from her listeners. Her self reflections are relatable, yet tragically beautiful.

TaRhea Ray has performed all over Los Angeles, Ca, including House of Blues, The Viper Room, The Echoplex with Harriet Brown and The Ford Amphitheater with Vaud and The Villains. She has performed alongside other up and coming local artists like Maria Katre, Tina Vonn, Barbara Laronga and Vilda Ray. In January 2020, she released her first solo debut single “Goodbye” via collaboration with Luca Brown of the duo Sleepy House. The song is going very well independently and has currently surpassed 20,000 streams on spotify.

“Goodbye” is TaRhea Ray’s lively and saturated voice, and even though it's a break-up track, the beautiful vocal work is full of fresh energy. Harmonious passages, velvety influxes, backing vocals - everything shines here. “Goodbye” is a gift that makes everything else freeze.”

“‘Goodbye’. The neo-soul track embodies powerful vocals that are smooth but hit you hard in the soul that you feel every emotion.”

-Denise Sherod (Reignland Magazine)

“Lyrically, the song is very impressive.”
