Bio
At the ripe old age of seven, Taryn began penning songs with feet swinging from a piano bench in a small coastal town in Connecticut. Later, as a disenchanted college grad with a music degree, she traveled the world playing/singing concerts for a humanitarian aid organization and realized that her music could help bring people together and bring about change. Recognized for her wide-ranged fiery voice, fierce versatile piano playing, poignant song writing skills, thought-provoking lyrics and tiny-framed stature she has become an artist quite singular in her own right. From touring India and playing college campuses and coffeehouses to duetting with Ted Nugent on his album, her broad knowledge and unusual musical experiences and venues allow her shows to be one-of-a-kind. Covering and re-inventing everything from heavy metal to Otis Redding with just a voice and piano (sometimes with full band) she disarms her audiences with the unexpected and memorable.
Currently Taryn lives in Charlotte, NC where she is a full-time musician and part-time Nashville producer/songwriter. She recently wrote and produced the CHILDREN OF THE WORLD (www.WorldHelp.Net) tour album and is currently recording a folk-rock acoustic album to be released in early 2012.
