Bio

I fell in love with music before I was even born. My dad, a singer/songwriter and producer himself, used to put headphones on my mom's stomach so that I could hear his songs. From the hospital, I came home to an attic in Landstuhl, Germany, where there was little space, but a lot going on. My dad had his studio set up, trying his best to make ends meet. At just the age of two, I started recording songs. Of course, they weren't that great. But my love of music opened up a whole new world to me. One that would get me through all of the trials I would later face. I was never the average looking little girl. Red hair, pale skin and overweight. Starting in kindergarten, I got teased brutally. I was told to kill myself because of my weight when I was five. The words stuck with me. When I was seven, I started writing songs to deal with the pain. I would sit there on my window sill, pen in hand and tears steaming down my face, writing about how I would overcome and rise above. How one day, the tables would turn. And it would be me laughing at them. Many years went on like that. During the day, I was no one. But when I came home, I would sing. And even if only for that period of time, it made life a little easier. After battling my depression and suicidal thoughts, I finally made a change. Not only did I begin my journey to self betterment, but I also learned to love myself. A lesson which I sincerely hope to teach to other young women. In 2010, I recorded my first EP, titled "Yours Truly". In 2011, I was signed to Illynoise Music and am now working on my first full-length studio album to be released in Spring of 2013. My only hope is to inspire and touch the souls of my listeners. Maybe I can help someone, as my favorite artists helped me, to get through something difficult.
