TAS PROJECT

BandR&BSoul

An intriguing mix of R&B, hip-hop, & inspirational sounds, which is an expression of my experiences, vision, and call to action, particularly as it involves Africa.

Biography

TAS began his music career in his home town of Liberia, where he first learned to play the piano at the age of ten. Influenced and inspired by his brother, C Wallace Smith Jr., TAS became a member of the legendary UAV (United Artist with a Vision). The group comprised of talented young Liberian writers, producers, singers, rappers, and promoters. TAS migrated to the U.S. where he served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years. After the Military, he enrolled at Rutgers University where he obtained a degree in Finance and an MBA in Financial Analysis. Through college, TAS continued doing music, making beats, writing and music composition. Soon after college, TAS along with his partner, Mr. Kenney Matthews, opened the now famous Eclectic Sound Studios (ESS).
TAS PROJECT is his first official project as an artist, producer, and song writer. The album to a degree incorporates his experiences, dreams, vision, and hope for the many who are suffering, particularly in Africa. The album features four of the best up and coming artists on the Philly scene. It is a blend of Hiphop, R&B, inspirational songs.
