TassNata

TassNata is a new school hiphop representative. Known most for his wild, energetic, interactive performances, TassNata is not only passionate about writing, but dedicated to delivering an unforgettable entertainment experience to fans. Shows often include drummers from metal bands, crowd surfing, remixes of his original songs with punk, trap or dubstep music along with a personal approach of "Partying With" rather than being "Partied For." Born and raised an only child in Vernon BC Canada, TassNata developed a love for music from his single father who worked in a studio as an audio engineer. "Being an only child gave me tons of time to dig through all my dads old records and read lyrics when i was at home on weekends." TassNata developed a love for soul music and motown records at an early age, branching into blues (Buddy Guy, BB King, John Lee Hooker) and later on introduced to hiphop in grade 4 by a friends older brother. " I remember my first time EVER hearing a full rap song and paying attention to the lyrics." " It was Big L, and to make the story short, i stole the dudes tape and listened to it every night before bed to hide it from my anti-rap Dad"
Tass began recording in 2004 and has since done songs with some of his personal favorite artists such as; (Main Flow, Masta Ace, DL Incognito, Black Milk, elZHi, Danny Brown and more) In addition he has been on several cross country tours and opened for artists such as Bone Thugs, The Game, Daz n Kurupt, Raekwon, Lupe Fiasco and 3 6 Mafia.
The most successful project for Tass to date, was his 3rd project titled "Between Planets" which boasted boom bap beats with melodic hooks and thought provoking lyrics. The biggest single from the album was "Remember" featuring Fat beats recording artist Black Milk, and Duck Down rookie emcee, Promise.

TassNata is set to release a new project in fall 2013 titled " I Forgot" with singles featuring Danny Brown, Rich Kidd, SonReal, and a surprise feature. Singles released from the tape so far have had great success in song such as "#GaryBettman , with the video reaching 18,000+ views in a little over one month and the most recent video "Leave Yourself Behind" with nearly 5,000 in 48 hours. Leave yourself behind will air on tv in September 2013. The album is produced by some of canadas most talented men in Tone Mason (Grammy Nominees for "Hood Boy - Fantasia", and Light up - Drake ft Jay Z), 2oolman (The Game, SonReal, Drake), Nick Brongers (Grammy Nominee for "Drake - Over", and Eminem - "So Bad" with Dr.Dre.
