Ta-Ta hails from P-Funk City, Plainfield, NJ. Inspired by Whitney Houston, Anita Baker and Regina Belle, she began singing at an early age. During an after school program in Middle School, some of the boys got on stage and started disrespecting females so Ta-Ta stepped in and wrote a rhyme to get back at them. Thus was born Ta-Ta's dynamic rhyming skills that she mixes with her singing talent. Ta-Ta hooked up with several local groups before striking out on her own.
Since introducing her debut CD, "Never Forget", Ta-Ta has received many honors, most notably, the first Queen Latifah Award for Hip-Hop, performing at the Billboard/BET Conference, Best Rap Song from the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and two Best Rap Album Awards and Best Rap Song from Just Plain Folks ("the grass roots Grammys"). In addition to numerous performances throughout the United States, Ta-Ta was invited to perform at the Popkomm Festival in Germany. Her song "Spittin' Verses" has been licensed for a film.
