Bio
Tater Vox is a seven member band playing concerts, festivals, and private events with a special interest in charitable endeavours in the golden horseshoe. The undeniably distinct sound provided by multiple lead vocalists and six tight musicians is a testament to the professionalism, passion, and camaraderie of the group.
A diverse repertoire of rock/pop/contemporary, “TVOX” (as they are affectionately known) performs with a special focus on some of the most celebrated Motown and R & B artist of our time. Horn sections are added for greater audience appeal whenever possible. As well, original works are included in every TVOX show with pride that can be felt in their energy.
Signature melodies and harmonies produced by Angela Lombardo and her band create a unique blend that’s been noticed by area critics. Oakville Today described the group as making “an immediate audience/performer connection. It’s intangible, it’s ethereal, it’s magic, and it’s wonderful,” with “a highly professional verve. They’ve become headliner quality.” In addition to performing live, “Evolution,” a CD produced in 2001 on the Harbourfront Music label is available for sale.
Previous events benefiting from the talent of Tater Vox include the Jarvis Cornfest, St. Catharines Ribfest, Bronte Canada Day Celebrations (Oakville), Canada Games (London), Oakville Waterfront Festival, International Wheelchair Tennis Championships, Dofasco Canada Day Celebration, Canadian Musicians for Liberty Guinness Book of World Records, Hamilton Tiger-Cat pre-game shows, and numerous charitable causes including events for the Canadian Cancer Society and Credit Valley Hospital.
