Bio

Taun is a Rockingham (Perth; Western Australian) based three piece Rock Band, which is the resulf of drummer Micheal McCoy a.k.a ‘Real's’ life long love affair with music. Joined by Ana McCoy on Bass in 2006 and late 2010 by Scott ‘Oak’ Baggaley initially on Bass and now on Lead Guitar.
‘Real’ has 25 years of drumming experience, crossing many genre’s including Metal, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Latino, Reggae, RnB, Scottish Pipe Bands, Covers and Gospel. ‘Real’ draws inspiration from many genres to produce a unique and fresh sound with easy listening vocals as accompaniment.
Oak has also had many years of music experience. Developing his love for the guitar while at University, playing in bands and later gigging around Perth with original acoustic material. His musical influences include Guns n Roses, Metallica, Live, Pearl Jam and U2.
Ana has always been involved with music on various levels either behind a mic, on rhythm guitar, bass, keys, or in Management and Administration. Ana rounds off this three piece team known as Taun, having preferences for Alt Rock and RnB, favouring warm smooth bass tones and dissonant distorted guitar riffs. She cites her major influences being Cog, Eskimo Joe, Kings X, Eric Benet and Erykah Badu and currently self-manages the band.
TAUN have just returned to Perth after a mini-tour of Asia after playing 'Spring Scream' in Taiwan and are currently looking to record their new material in the next couple of months. Their plan is to then tour this album around Australia and return to Asia in the not too distant future for a more extensive tour.
