Tawana "The Vocalist" McCord

Tawana McCord known as The Vocalist McCord grew up in Chicago, IL has lived across the United States and has finally planted roots in Atlanta (Griffin), GA. She has been singing the Lord’s praises since the age of 6.
She grew up singing in her families’ church choir in Chicago, IL and later in Detroit, MI. It’s no surprise that she has finally followed the Lord’s calling and completing her first CD. The Lord spoke the words and gave the songs to The Vocalist McCord and she simply listened and penned them. Every track is a gift given to her from GOD to the listeners. She credits her love of music to artists like: Tramaine Hawkins, Walter Hawkins, Andre Crouch, Yolanda Adams, Tamela Mann, Mary Mary and Kirk Franklin. Her style of voice doesn’t just fall within one category. She sings the Lord’s praises in various styles like R&B, Light Jazz, Contemporary Gospel and some Hip Hop style Christian music. With her style she is here to provide followers with the Lord’s given words and to enlighten their heavy hearts.
