The curlicue harmonies and parlor-strum arrangements in Tawny River's material – such as the wistful "Revolution" and the glam-culture-slamming "Hollywood" - reveals the influence of artists such as Alison Krauss and Paul Simon. - Al.com

Bio

What do you get when you cross Island
Music, Hippie Jam, and Gypsy Pop genres together. The sonic stylings of
Tawny River is what you get.

How did a country singer from the West Coast
(Seattle) meet a gypsy soul from the Great North (Quebec, Canada).  Only in Nashville.   They found
each other at a songwriter's Sunday meet up.  They wrote songs... and more songs. After months of writing together he finally asked her out.  She knew from the moment she met him... it was pure chemistry & magic, a real life music love story.  They were married three years later.  When asked how they write their music, Nash says, "I follow her around with a pen and paper".  "She's my hook queen".  Dawn laughs and says, "he's my melody man, I love how creative he gets".

Currently the duo is working with Grammy Award winning
producer of 67 Gold and Platinum records, Ron Haffkine, producer for Shel Silverstein and Dr. Hook bringing
life to songs like The Cover of the Rolling Stone, Freaking at the
Freakers Ball and I got Stoned and I missed it. Stay tuned for more
here or at http://tawnyriver.com.
