Walkabout Boys are a five piece Indigenous Country Rock Reggae act hailing from the remote Yiyili Community in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. Playing with a passion, their music reflects their unique Country, and the wonderful people that live there.

Biography

Songstress Taylah Sewell is the latest musical whisper around Broome, engaging audiences wityh her captivating voice and lyrics. A prodigious sportsperson from a young age, fortune met fate when Taylah broke her knee at the age of twelve, putting an end to her sports career. A lonesome, neglected guitar beckoned and so began her musical journey. Since then her career has gone from strength to strength.

With influences as diverse as Missy Higgins, Lisa Mitchell and John Butler through to Rise Against, Paramour, City and Colour and Matt Corby, Taylah performs punchy acoustic alternative pop originals on guitar and ukulele. Based in Broome in the far north west of Australia, her fresh vocals draw inspiration from the people and characters that surround her, and dreams of places that she is yet to visit.

Seen playing regularly around Broome Town over the past two years, and with a bunch of new tunes, Taylah is ready to spread her wings and take her music to the world. With her feet firmly planted on the ground, her dream is simple: to fix her Combi van and travel the world with her beloved guitar, Betty.

She was once destined to be an aspiring sports star, but thankfully for us, shes
now earning a reputation for being Broomes answer to Missy Higgins
