Singer/Songwriter Taylor Bates, left Oklahoma City for Nashville, Tennessee, with 500 hundred dollars, a rented u-haul, broken hearts and a sound somewhere between Van Morrison, Neil Young and Springsteen, yet totally and uniquely his own.
He also brought with him a youthful prospective on deep and dark and soulful life experiences that transcend into the sweet painful soothing melodies that ooze from his vocals and permeate his amazing work.
Taylor gets outstanding feedback from the regular venues that get to hear him weave his music throughout the chords of people’s lives in Atlanta, Chattanooga, Louisville, Knoxville and Nashville. His HEY NOW recording with vivid lyrics and moving notes clings in your memory for days at a time wearing out only to be replaced by COAST IS CLEAR and LOOKING FOR MY GIRL. COAST IS CLEAR is guaranteed to be loved by all generations finding their own messages of perseverance and release.
