Taylor Burton is a 16-year-old singer songwriter from Sydney N.S. Taylor has recently emerged on the local music scene with appearances at The Wentworth Perk, a local coffee house that features local musicians, as well as performing at outdoor concerts in the Sydney area. Taylor recently placed second at Cape Breton’s Next Big Thing, a local high school talent search, and was awarded top prize at the Cape Breton Regional Library’s Teen Song Writing Competition for his original song titled “Let’s Talk About Now” which he recorded in July 2010 at Soundpark Studios with multiple ECMA award winner Jamie Foulds. Taylor also had the honour of opening the 2010 Alive On The Island Music Festival in Sydney, which featured many prominent east coast artists including Rita MacNeil, The Burkes, The Men of the Deeps, and Chelsea Nisbett
