Taylor Mosley
Label: New Ground Records
Me Up“, „What´s Ya Name“, „Heart Of Mine“). Manchmal mehr gewollt als gekonnt („The Joint“, „Love On Ya“), aber immer auf dem Weg zum Major-Deal.
Keinesfalls anzüglich, einfach Gute-Laune-Tracks, die zum startenden Sommer passen („The Way That You Love Me“), gefühlvolle Balladen voller Emotionen („Gone“, „Won´t You Be“) und sogar dem ein oder anderen funky Ton mittendrin („Three-Sixty-Five“).
Einzig „You´re The One“ zerstört etwas die soulvolle Stimmung. Das dominierende Schlagzeug mit der Gitarre in Begleitung ist vielleicht live gut zu hören, auf der Platte mit 99 Prozent R&B-Tracks jedoch fehl am Platz. Immerhin beweist Taylor hier sein Talent für Intonierung, bei dem ihm in den Jahren zuvor sicherlich Mama Mosley stark geholfen. Hat. Die Dame ist schließlich professionelle Gesangslehrerin.

R&B, Hip-Hop, Taylor Mosley, Soundrama - December, 2004
It would be the understatement of the decade to say that the current state of music is pitiful. Re-hashed, uncreative pop anthems have been dominating the charts; while the creative underground continues to be misunderstood by the masses. The music industry has been looking for a light at the end of this sludge ridden tunnel, a savior of sorts if you will, to resurrect the souls that believe there is hope for a better music tomorrow.
If you are unsure of what Lil' Jon's infamous "yeah" is being attributed to, perhaps platinum fronts are not your style. Maybe you are still reminiscing the days when you could understand the lyrics, and songs had deeper meaning - touching your inner emotions, making you want to make love to your woman instead of hijacking a liquor store. Well, if you like the old school style of Teddy Pendergrass and Al Green, but the new age flavors of Usher, then you are going to love Taylor Mosley. Mosley is bringing his own unique soulful flavor to the forefront. Don't get him confused with anyone else currently on the R&B scene, however. Writer and producer Taylor Mosley is bringing R&B back to the days when lyrics came from the soul, while adding his own authentic flair to the groove. Sensitive, fresh, and vibrant is the best way to describe Mosley's self titled album, "Taylor", that was released on December 2, 2004, at every major record store.
When asked about his lyrics and the inspiration behind them, Taylor said that he is, "just a story writer. Sometimes I write about someone or something in my life, other times I try to write about things I think people can relate to."
Throughout the entire album, Mosley doesn't miss a beat. His poignant finesse and soulful words are clean cut. This is an album everyone can relate to. It's down to earth and as real as it gets. It is refreshing to hear someone who is truly inspired by the music they are releasing and are true to themselves in the process. From start to finish, it's a solid hip-hop/R&B album that demonstrates something fresh. This is definitely a must for your collection.
Taylor is backed by an outstanding and driven entourage that resides under the label name, Soundrama. These individuals - which are the backbone of the organization -include his brother and producer, Josh Mosley, and good friend/producer, Daniel Sadowski. It was created in October 2000 by hard work, ingenuity, and inspiration. Soundrama's purpose is to be a major player, a positive component, and a household name by bringing their new vision and image to the music industry, while targeting a wide range of listeners. With Soundrama's new sound and creative edge, they expect to make their mark in the music industry and the corporate world.
This label is not to be overlooked. Soundrama has written and produced music for recording artists, television, video games, and other multi media. Recent achievements include writing the arrangements for various Stevie Wonder, Alisha Keys, and Marvin Gaye songs for Kong's "Give Me the Mike" contest, writing the opening number and music behind the scenes for the Miss Washington pageant, writing the music for PC games including Hunting Unlimited 2 and 3, and writing the lyrics for a safety video, "The Know Zone". They were awarded the National Transit Award for video production, writing the theme song for National Transit Center. They also wrote the theme music for the caterpillar at The Money Tree. Soundrama is now working on expanding the company to a national level while maintaining a solid reputation.
Despite all their achievements thus far - in sitting down and talking with the members - they are still down to earth, hungry for success, and ready to learn. In an industry where success usually equals high maintenance, Soundrama and their crew remember where it all started. "We actually all met at church," stated Sadowski. "We all had an intense passion for music and that's where our collaboration started."
According to producer Josh Mosley, Soundrama prides itself on its integrity. "With so many people trying to make it in the industry, we understand the importance of being on time, and being our word."
The R&B hip-hop culture is in need of a new inspiring lift and Taylor, with Soundrama behind him, might be just the artist to do that. You can check out tracks or purchase Taylor Mosley's new album at www.soundrama.com. Look for possible up and coming TV performances by Mosley in January 2005.
