Biography

Taylor Vick is a 16 year old singer/songwriter of remarkable talent. Enchanting audiences with her exquisite vocal chemistry and harmony work performing alongside her brother, Travis, Morgan Manifacier and the French Cassettes.

Taylor grew up in Northern California and from an early age, showed interest in music. She took piano lessons as a child, and later played the flute. At 10 she started up guitar, and was added to the youth worship team. After learning guitar, she taught her brother, Travis how to play. While her brother’s band wrote songs in her garage, she wrote songs in her bedroom. Not until she was put on the spot did she intend to perform solo in front of people.

Since then, Taylor has performed numerous solo acoustic shows, and live on radio station B93.1’s “15 minutes of Fame”. She can be heard on her brothers E.P. “Player Piano” and Morgan Manifacier E.P. “The Seed Became a Tree.” She has also recorded with the French Cassettes, Jason Clark, and Matthew Torres. Taxi A&R reviews of Taylor’s vocals work with her brother: “Absolutely exquisite vocal chemistry and harmony work!” and “I love the harmony work, a la The Swell Season... the two of you have a really tasteful chemistry.”

Taylor has been influenced by a wide range of musical genres, and some have compared her vocal style to Feist, and Cat Power but she is known to have a style of her own. Although she is often referred to as Travis Vick’s little sister, Taylor is an aspiring young artist who will share her music with anyone who will listen.
