Taymir makes authentic pop songs in the 60s beat tradition, but with the balls of the Arctic Monkeys and the raw sound of The Strokes.
Before Taymir, Quinten Meiresonne and Bas Prins played 60s pop as The Consolers. With a start quicker than any other band form The Hague, an international record deal and some great shows, The Consolers pulled the plug
We had the feeling that we should make new music and we did not want The Consolers to be some kind of a 60s gimmick Quinten.
And 2013 is the year of new music. Taymir was born with drummer Harrie Roelse and Mikkie B Wessels on guitar! The influences of The Consolers and the new input of Harrie and Mikkie B made Taymirs no nonsense Indie Pop songs.
2013 was the year of writing music and recording the first Taymir album, wich was released in oktober this year. To realize this dream, LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS campaign was brought to life.
