Tayo Reed redefines the word “show” from the moment she hits the stage. If you want a show that has all of the right ingredients of country music and southern rock, along with a cup of oldies and a dash of R&B look no further. Tayo Reed performs a wide variety of songs that are hits from today mixed with timeless classics and original music. This is a must see show and is perfect for any occasion or special event. Although Tayo needs no additional ingredients to have an awesome show, she brings along the Tayo Dancers and the Hot Grits Band just to give her audience a special treat at every concert. The Tayo dancers showcase their fancy footwork reminiscent of yesterdays clog hopping to today’s line dancing adds a special attraction full of excitement. The Hot Grits band follows Tayo closely with their tight timing which gives Tayo the freedom to improvise with the audience. Tayo Reed is the “Ultimate Entertainer”. Her way of belting out a song, while interpreting the words thru dance, has left audiences amazed and wanting more. She also adds crowd pleasing traditional and contemporary cover songs like “Somebody Like You” by Keith Urban, “Sin Wagon” by the Dixie Chicks and Mama He’s Crazy by The Judd’s which highlights her versatility. There’s also little honky tonk which is evident from her rendition of Gretchen Wilson’s hit “Redneck Woman” and she has a streak of Southern Rock and R&B in her too which shows up in her “knock out” punch of Lynard Skynard’s “Sweet Home Alabama”, Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary”, Elvis Presley’s “Hound Dog” and John Mellencamp’s Pink Houses. Tayo has been described as Wynonna + Gretchen, +Shania + Garth Brooks +Tina Turner all rolled up into one. Tayo toured internationally as a dancer with the Godfather of Soul, James Brown. She credits learning an invaluable lesson about the necessity of giving your “heart and soul” while performing. With the blessing of James Brown, she left the tour to focus on her singing career.
