Tayo Taiwo

Tayo Taiwo is a musician from the dessert costal regions of western Australia. Music is used as way to spread a message of equality, eventual peace and justice.
Tayo Taiwo can usually be found in the garden or Forrest area's playing music to plants and other like-minded creatures. Taiwo is an Australian born Afro musician and multi-instrumentalist, whose music transcends many styles and different genres including: Dark psychedelic voodoo reggae bluefunk. Through the use of music Taiwo attempts to spread a message of equality and peace. Beginning music at a relatively late stage as a teenager, Taiwo began street performing in Fremantle (western Australia) before joining the "lovechild" and then "a couple of brothers" The lovechild travelled to England in 2005/06 playing at well known venues such as "The Red Lion" (twickenham) and "The Grey Horse" (Kingston). Then to Reunion Island in 2008/09, which saw Tayo Taiwo develop a respect and love of traveling and spreading music around the world. While "a couple of brothers" maintain a regular Sunday session at mad monk brewery in the heart of Fremantle. "Taiwo has amazing stage presence". "At times channeling great energy towards the audience with his Stratocaster." Taiwo's solo performance has generated much interest amongst fellow musicians and fans alike. The use of digital looping equipment enables Tayo Taiwo to freely swap between instruments such as: Bass, electric and acoustic guitar, Djembe and vocals, to create variously different types of rhythms. Styles range from ambient acoustic guitar through to percussively driven rhythms great for dance. Tayo Taiwo has a positive outlook towards music and life and his live shows blend this vibration by connecting with the audience on many different levels.
