Bio:

Teague’s piano-driven music is melodic and well-crafted blending traditional pop with funk, folk, and jazz. His original songs include cool, funky jams and soulful ballads.

Teague has a warm powerful voice with a “Southern Frank Sinatra” quality (BJ Jones, The Zone Read). His talent and showmanship combine with backing vocals and superb musicians for a sexy, high quality show.

His music has been described as a mix between Dave Mathews Band, David Gray, Elton John, Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Bublé, and Jamie Cullum.

Teague’s dedication to building his fan base and bringing fans to his live performances is evident by his street team commitment, electronic newsletter, and internet promotion including his own website and MySpace profile.

Teague focuses on performing his original songs in cafés, clubs and festivals, gaining support for his much-anticipated LP album release “Swallow Eternity” with Lyric Vinyl Records. His EP “City Of Destiny” was well received and continues to sell well at both live performances and on his website.

Teague has written more than 200 songs and has published as a registered BMI songwriter with Lyric Vinyl Publishing. Teague's talent, versatility, engaging personality, and professionalism set the stage for him to become a national success.

Background:

Teague was born in Atlanta and grew up in the South, spending his summers on his grandparents' farm in South Georgia. He began playing the piano and writing songs at the age of 12 with musical influences including the Beatles, Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, Phil Collins, Elton John, and the Eagles. Though he credits Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick, Jr. as his greatest vocal influences.

Teague toured Western Europe in 2000 playing in numerous pubs and jazz clubs. His music was well received, gaining fans and garnering great reviews. He returned to Texas Tech University a year later to complete his degree in Central and East European Studies (minoring in German Language).

Teague lives in Austin, Texas.
