J.U.S. was born Justin Harmon July 22nd, 1987 in Kenosha, Wi. Raised by a single mother he and his two sisters grew up in some very adverse situations. They didn't have a whole lot growing up but what the family lacked in riches they made up for in articulation and substance. With his mom being an english major she made a point to have them reading and writing well before starting school. Little did they know those lessons would be instrumental in the lyricists foundation as an artist. With a deep volcabuary, a poor family, and raw emotion the table was set. All that was missing was an outlet. J.U.S. would find that outlet at the age of 14 when he started rapping.
It would start out as battling at lunches in the high school cafeateria and eventually manifest itself into an ambition. A tool that ten years later he continues to craft carefully with time. " I just love music and expressing myself through it" says J.U.S. when asked what drives him to make the type music he does. He goes on to say, " I haven't made a dime but I write like get paid very well. My mom once told me that if you love something, do it because you love it and don't worry about making it big all the time." Two mixtapes and years later he still live by those exact words.
