"New to the scene is Atlanta rapper Skinny-C"

"I’ve had the pleasure to interview upcoming rap artist, Skinny-C. He’s a down to earth Atlanta native, who has birthed a few mixtapes titled, Mixtape Muzik Vol 1: INTREPID , Mixtape Music Vol.2: RHAPSODY, and 94 & b4. He’s inspired by his life experiences and he’s highly motivated by his doubters. He puts his blood, sweat, tears, and thoughts into his art. And he isn’t swayed by what’s popular. Skinny-C is all about his grind and soaring high. This young man is the example of an enterprising hungry artist." - On the Rise Magazine

"Watch This (Remix) feat. K. Sparks"

It’s always a special event when a Booth debut comes around, and while it’s a far cry from K. Sparks’ virgin voyage we’re happy to welcome Skinny-C to the family with his Watch This (Remix). The HiPNOTT Records signee dropped the original last year on his Nobody Famous-assisted 110 EP and found the response strong enough to nab Sparks for the encore. This official “remix” is one in the better sense of the definition, as C goes in with fresh lyrics that set the record off. The Florida born, Georgia bred artist doesn’t disappoint with an impressive flow that meshes well with both Sparks’ work in the lead-off spot and an ATlien brass production (courtesty of Famous) that knocks the track out of the park. This may be Skinny-C’s first feature here at the Booth, but after listeners Watch This performance, it won’t be his last. If you’ve been sleeping, be sure to check out C’s 110 EP before you get left out of the loop (because that’s never fun). - Dj Booth.net

"Hump Day Bump Day"

Let’s not end this Hump Day on a sour note. Let’s begin this Friday night’s bumpin’ and grindin’ today. Skinny-C is another rapper from Atlanta — less famous than Jeezy, but he packs more of a punch on this five song EP than Jeezy does on his whole mixtape. His flow is fast at points and summer barbeque smooth at others. His songs are largely reminiscent of the laid-back, drum-heavy beats of the late ’80s and early ’90s. He is straight to the point with his lyrics and doesn’t candy coat his stories of getting out of the trap. If you are a fan of N.C. emcee J. Cole and his emphasis on rhyming, then you’ll appreciate Skinny-C’s mantras, even though he claims “it’s similar to something you’ve never heard.” “110 The EP,” especially “110,” is full of reasons why Skinny-C believes he stands out from other rappers. His outlook on what he’s doing makes him good — he doesn’t have an inflated sense of self and he’s trying to stand out, not fade in.

"#THATDOPE: SKINNY C DELIVERS BONA-FIDE DIRTY SOUTH HIP-HOP ON ‘NEVER THIRSTY, ALWAYS HUNGRY”"

Atlanta emcee, Skinny C, presents his latest mixtape, Never Thirsty, Always Hungry. Lyrically painting vivid images of the southern lifestyle, he uses his life as a canvas to invite listeners back to the original Dirty South. Hailing from the eclectic streets of east-side, Atlanta, Georgia, Skinny-C first began to receive high-acclaim in the South Georgia and Florida regions with his charismatic freestyles, illuminating wordplay, and energized performances.

This is that real ATL funk that the game’s been missing. With vibes that make you reminisce on Outkast’s ATLiens, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik and Aquemini, Skinny is headed in a direction steering clear of the typical trap rap. It’s been a minute since I’ve heard anything new like this come from Atlanta. Indubitably, it’s vital to the game and true fans of the art will dig what Skinny C provides. Never Thirsty, Always Hungry offers a full scope of the versatility, hunger, ingenuity and trunk-rattling, soulful funk that dedicated fans and newcomers will enjoy.

In today’s day and age, thirst is at an all-time high and is rapidly increasing by the minute. In contrast, the hunger to reach goals are decreasing due to the attention given to thirst traps, and those who set the traps get high off of the attention resulting in loss of focus. Never Thirsty, Always Hungry was inspired by this theory and brings you back to reality by displaying wit, aggression, progression, versatility and most of all hunger to reach my dream. Don’t settle for mediocrity, stop seeking attention, and keep the drive as if it’s day one and you have not accomplished anything. – Skinny C - The Source

"Fresh Music | Skinny C ‘Never Thirsty, Always Hungry’ [Mixtape]"

Yes! Finally we have a new project from Skinny-C. I’m reveling in it. Man, can this guy spit… This Never Thirsty, Always Hungry is very nice.

From the title all the way through the playlist — this is C. The Lithonia, Ga. native is giving us small pieces of himself. C really is hungry, at all times, and he really is in Polo, at all times. He’s clever with the words (‘Major’ is an instant favorite. Instant!) and the production here is pretty impressive too, dipping in and out of the blaxploitation fly of ‘Buried Treasure’ to the breeziness of ‘Grown & Sexy.’

Listen, donate a couple dollars if you have it and download. Peep what Skinny-C has to say below.
